The cover of the Digipak is a medium shot of Florence herself, the main feature, looking away from the camera, creating a secretive edge to the cover. I feel that the way she is positioned with her arms crossed over her chest comes off as quite seductive which catches the eye.
I think the Mise-en-scene has been chosen carefully for this album as both her clothes and the background are weird and quirky which is eye catchy to any audience as its quite unusual. The quirkiness will attract the attention of any adolescents as it makes teens feel like it's becoming a new trend in this generation therefore making teens feel obliged to pick it up.
The positioning of the lungs on top of Florence's body for her album cover conveys such a strong meaning one oh which will mean something different to the audience. Taking a glance of the front cover, we can clearly see that it's not full of happy joyous music but is infact music that has passionately come from the artist herself. You can tell this by the way that she isn't looking directly into the camera, which is unusual, as artists would usually do that to embrace the audience. This also gives the message that all of her songs are very personal due to the way that she is keeping to herself.
The colour of the back of the Digipak is meant to be black, as Florence herself wants it to have a dark meaning. Therefore meaning that we definitely know that she wrote the songs herself, portraying what the album is going to be like. The songs are numbered but are presented side by side which, again, is quite unusual as many other artists album is usually presented vertically. The font is also in white like the cover which is a good contrast to help it become more catchy for the viewer.
Overall, i really like the idea of this Digipak. The meaning behind of it all is beautiful and this something that we feel we need to do in our Digipak. Having a meaning behind gives the band a moral and it conveys such a strong message, which is what we wanted whilst doing this Digipak. I really like the idea of having different colours for each part of the Digipak. So having the image in black and white with certain hints of colour coming through, then having the image in black and white for the back of the Digipak. This just foreshadows what the album is going to be like overall. Although i don't think we are going to be using full black and white images, i do like the idea of having certain parts of the images in black and white and other parts in colour as this just makes everything a bit more interesting and gives a contrast to help it look more appealing and to catch the eye more.
