The advert on the left clearly matches the digipak (which I analysed earlier), and gives a sense to the bands fans about how the album is going to look like etc.
However, the poster on the right is different to what we have seen before, a picture of the lead singer, Alex Turner, take up about 75% of the poster. This defies some of the conventions we have examined previously, as in most of the digipaks there are no pictures of the band at all. It does follow other conventions though- the lead singer is responsible for the image of the band, and he is performing, rather than posing, maintaining the 'only caring about the music' attitude. The picture also includes some of the band's fans, which follows the idea of the band genuinely caring about people who like their music.
