Our Band: Why we chose Superego and what it means

Superego refers to the tripartite personality which consists of the id, ego and superego.  The superego is the morality principle which controls our impulses created by the id.  This is a Freudian theory which was from the Victorian times and makes our band look good as Freud was a psychologist and was quite pretentious as are indie people in bands.
From another point of view.  Superego could also mean cocky or big-headed, so it has a double meaning.
