Music Video analysis 7: Catfish and the Bottlemen-Twice

The music video for Catfish and the Bottlemen is in black and white and starts off by panning left towards the drummer as the song first starts off with some drums

By 18 seconds, the camera has panned around 3/4 band members in one long shot establishing the band and who is who.
By 25 seconds, the whole band has been established in one long shot panning around the whole band in a circle.  The band also has the logo for the album "The Ride" on their drum which looks good.
During parts of the song, the lead singer walks away despite it being him singing at the time.  This shows the "too cool" look that the band portray where they can't even be their to sing their own parts and walk away when they aren't feeling it.
During times of the video, it isn't fully in focus also showing the vibe they give off where they're indie thus they're "too cool" to even have their camera in focus.
Overall, the video is done in one long shot where secret cuts may have been done but this shows that they don't really care what their video looks like and that they can just do it in one go as indie people can be seen as pretentious and up them selves which this video indicates.  The video being done in black and white also shows they are too good for colour and don't need it in colour.  It could also show they are slightly retro and don't want big fancy things and just want to be all basic, just showing off their music.  The came is contently moving and never shows a master shot in the video.  It moves to the tempo of the song.  It has been shot on a hand held camera showing how chaotic and unstable their lives could be and that they don't need a full camera crew as they don't really care about the video.  There is also no narrative in the video at all showing that the video is all about them and they don't need anything else in the video but themselves.  the mise en scène in the video is very basic.  the band aren't wearing any branded clothing and looks like they didn't really care much about it.  as well as this it looks like it was filmed in a basic black room with their equipment and amps all over the place as if they chose it task minute.
For our music video I don't think we will be taking much from this video for our video as it was shot in black and white which I don't want for our video and that it was one long shot with no narrative and only about performance.
