The End
Today is the last deadline day, so now we are going to start studying for the A2 exam in the summer next year.
Question 1 Finished
So I have finished editing my question 1 response, which it took longer than the other questions.
Finished Question 2
Question Four progress
I have been making a lot of progress with question four. I am basically finished and today I was just added some final touches. Today, I added some cringy music which is perfect for a beauty blog as that is what they always do. The music I used was called "life of riley" this was similar to other YouTube music I had heard. I also added some superimposition and used the cringy name of "glitter girl" as her username. We used our friend Ellie for this as she was perfect for the role and we didn't want to do it ourselves so we found the perfect person for it and she is pretending to be in our group hence why she says "our group" and "our music video" throughout the video. Overall, I'm happy with question four and think it works and uses the conventions of a cringy beauty vlogger. We are just waiting on David's question one, Jaclyn's question two and Cora's question three.

Uploading and Editing Question 2

Now i am at the stage of uploading and editing the footage. I'm not sure how long this process will take as it's quite lengthy, as my question needs to be at least 3-4 minutes long, just like the music video, which took around 2 weeks to complete. However, we have until tomorrow to complete our full evaluation video. Wish us luck!
Encoding Question 2
Thankfully, everything went according to plan and i was able to film everything. Now it's the long process of downloading the footage from the camera onto the computer, then encoding it then for me to edit it all together so it flows. In the image, you can see that i have already started encoding, I've had to change the format to Microsoft AVI so that it's able to encode properly as sometimes it doesn't work properly on Premiere Pro.

Completed script for Question Three
Script
SECTION ONE:
Response to rough cut music video
PERSON ONE: I
really did not understand the narrative. I don’t get whether they are a couple
or not, and I couldn’t see what they were arguing about.
PERSON TWO: I liked
the lighting in the performance bit, that was really cool, but the band looks
awkward and they don’t really fit together. I’m also a bit confused as to why
the main character is also the lead singer- I really don’t like that.
SECTON TWO:
Response to final cut music video
PERSON THREE: The
scenes on the canons and in the amusements are so cute, and they really match
the song well.
PERSON FOUR: The
way that a lot of the editing is done on the beat looks really professional and
neat, but if you were to do it again, I would say to use some different people
in the band.
SECTION THREE:
Response to the digipak
PERSON FIVE: I
love the colours that you’ve used on the album. It looks incredibly abstract
and I like the fact that the name, Chroma, matches the metallic look on the CD.
SECTION FOUR:
Response to the advert
PERSON SIX: I
like the background colour, and the black and white polaroid looks really
artsy. I would’ve preferred it if there was an actual picture of the band on
it, though.
Preparing for filming tonight
Due to unforeseen circumstances, there were unfortunately not enough cameras as they have all been booked for other groups. I have had to borrow David's camera that he used to film on, thankfully he is almost finished his question so that i am able to film for tonight. I am hoping to get the majority of the question filmed and if this isn't possible, then i am going to have to film tomorrow during school time. If all goes well, then i am hoping that i can start editing tomorrow morning.
Changing Question Three!
Over the weekend, I had enough time to contemplate how my question would work. I decided to change the format of my answer, to match my question 'What have your learned from your audience feedback?' The way that I have re structured it, the audience will be able to see the statistics of our feedback, how we collected it, and actually hear from some of our target audience.
Basically, I will show the graphs that present or data from various points in our project, by using a stock-motion technique, with a 'behind-the-scenes' theme. I will also ask some of our friends to be 'interviewed' about our products at various points in the project. Then, using the same stock-motion technique, I will show how we used this feedback to improve our project.
I am a lot happier with this format than the other one, which I felt had a lot of issues that would have taken valuable time to resolve.
Editing Question 1

So when editing I have other videos or photos super imposed on the main video, of what I'm watching and reacting to.
More footage for question four
We got more of our footage for question four now and have it finished. Unless the sound doesn't work again then the footage for question four is all filmed and all that needs doing is the editing. Our deadline is Wednesday and we have all four videos to edit. Question two and three haven't been filmed yet so we have that as well. My aim is to have my question all edited for Tuesday so I can relax and do small changes on Wednesday if needed.

Filming Question 1
Here is my set up for filming my response question 1, as I stated in a previous blog post that My idea had to change from the lack of time and people not being available to film in a Celebrity Big Brother/Goggle box style as it needed plenty of time however the deadline being the 20th of December which is in 3 days. So i tried to set it up in a Youtuber style. When filming I thought it was going to be simple but i got nervous and kept stuttering or pausing for a long amount of time having to stop filming. Luckily the camera had a movable screen I could see what I was filming and how the angle looked and to see if I was in focus and not blurry.
Changes To Question 1
So I've had to make changes to question 1 because of time restraints and people being unavailable to film, So I'm now filming the response to question 1 as a Youtuber Reacts video. With changes to the script so it makes sense in the new way I'm responding to the question.

Question four editing
I have been editing question four today and have had to speed up the majority of it to make it fit within the 4 minute time slot we have for this question. We haven't filmed all of our question yet and need to film some more of it to have it finished. We should have it finished by lunch today. We also found a problem where the audio was too quite so we need to find a way around that by putting a voice over on top but we need to fin out how to do that first. My aim is to have question four finished by Monday.
Editing Question 4
We have started editing question 4 but we have realised that the sound is very quiet. This is because we didn't use a microphone whilst filming meaning that the camera itself didn't pick up any sound, so we may need to re-film a few things. This is something that we plan to film at lunch today.
Filming the rest of Question 4
Ellie looking very happy to be helping us
We filmed the rest of Question 4 today, with our actor, Ellie. We had to re-record parts of it using a microphone, but stick to the script that Sarah had created.

Script for Question 1
Question
One- In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and
conventions of real media products?
Concept
Inspired by
Goggle Box, having three groups of people having each group watching or looking
at one of the media products we made, so they will look at the music video,
digipak and advert. Or have all the groups look at all three products and have
snippets of each group saying something about it.
For when
people are talking it will be ‘group 1, person 1’ so it’ll be seen as ‘G1P1’
When it
changes group there will be a cut so if it’s on group 1 there would be a cut to
either group 2 or 3.
Will have a
screen either in the bottom or top right to show what they’re watching.
Script
Music
Video
[Goggle Box Intro]
Narrator: Today we are
doing something different we partnered with Warner Bros. Records, you will be
watching a music video, and extra products related to the music video and will
be asking questions after watching the music video.
G1P2:
Interesting.
G3P3: What
music video are we watching?
Narrator:
Knee Socks by Superego
G2P2: Let us
begin then
[half way through the video]
G1P3: I like
the use of having it split into half so far, as it gives the narrative more
emotion to the story and still gives
the band the screen time they need.
G1P1: Yeah
the balance really gives identity for the band as a unit.
G2P1: I was
expecting the lead singer to be the main actor but having a separate actor is
really intriguing
G2P2:
Remember Darling, the actors can bring out the emotion needed for story to move
us.
[near the end of the video]
G3P1: Whoa
the shots are so fast; it matches the pace of the argument with the different
angles, and I’m really into it.
G3P2: He’s
going to get a smack in the face with that close up.
G3P3: You’re
telling me
G3P1: Back
to the topic, it creates the dynamic impact with the different shots helping
the fluidity and following the convention of having the narrative follow the
pace of the song.
G3P2: The perks of also having it on a musicality level it also matches with certain sections.
[at the end of the music video]
G1P3: They
don’t really have a chemistry really, even though they’re quite close it still looks
apart
G1P2: Yeah
they normally have a strong bond in this genre but they look good though, I think
their style fits them though
G1P3:
Especially the guitarist, her whole outfit just fits the genre and her facial
expressions looks so good for the song.
G1P1: The
video as a whole was a strong product.
Narrator: As a music
video belonging to the indie genre in what ways does it develop the indie
conventions?
G2P1: The
style of how the narrative was told with the use of the clock as a metaphor is
a great use of narrative development of the relationship.
G2P2: As it
showed the clock crumbling apart, remembering that time is running out for the
relationship.
G2P1: But I
do believe that the clock could have been more clear with the Middle cuts of
the clock as the narrative progressed in the video.
G1P3: The
use of lighting during the performance really added the moodiness for the indie
genre what worked well with the bands facial features.
G1P2: Yeah it had the right atmosphere for the
genre when watching the performance especially with the red and blue lighting.
G1P1: Since
it’s about a breakup the darker style works really well than having it lighter
than they had it.
G2P1: With
the use of symbolism through the editing, with having the actors close then
having a jump cut having them apart
G2P2: Since
the indie genre uses a lot of symbolism the edit making them distant really
helps the breakup be more meaning full when we saw them happy the last time.
Narrator: Does it
challenge the indie genre with the use of other genre conventions?
G3P1: Having
heavy performance sections, which is very pop inspired to highlight the artist
as pop music isn’t as meaning in comparison to indie.
G3P3: To
help conform the image of the band performing if people can’t see them live, but
helps bring the band personality in the music when performing.
G3P2: You
can really tell the difference in personalities, specifically the guitarist
showing that this is serious for her.
Digipack
[displays the digipack]
Narrator: Here is the
digipack for Superego’s studio album Chroma, what conventions can see that they
used?
G1P2: the
use of bright colours and the range bring appeal to the product and having the
bright colours on majority of the product with the three panels
G1P1: With
the use of the name it fits quite well doesn’t it
G1P3: what
does ‘Chroma’ mean?
G1P1: it
means purity or density of light.
G1P1+2: oh,
G1P3: That
works well having a black and white photo
G1P2: Having
the contrast blends well with having all the other panels in full colour, it
makes it more appealing than having that in colour as well
G1P3: Not
only having it in black and white, they use a performance shot which is
different from the usual band studio shot, it makes it look more dynamic and
that they are there to perform their music.
G2P1: Having
the design of the CD is very important when matching the theme of the digipack
as it can all go wrong
G2P2: Yeah
it fits really well like with the Artic Monkeys ‘Whatever people say, that’s
what I’m not I am’ with the CD being covered in cigarettes since the front
cover had a man smoking one on the front.
G2P1: It all
fits as a package, don’t you think so?
G2P2: yeah
it does.
G1P2: Even
the names of the songs match the theme of the digipack making them look professional
than just a random collection of names for songs.
G3P2: So it makes
it well developed and thought out with the album name being relevant to the
theme.
Narrator: So you
believe this product has been developed from the conventions of a digipack?
G3P2: I
believe so
G3P1: I
agree
G3P3: I think it’s a developed product.
Narrator: Are there any
challenges towards the forms and conventions?
G2P1: It’s
hard to find a link between the video and the digipack, excluding the band name
and having the track on the album.
G2P2: Yeah
with the video we had seen the red and blue lighting which was very effective
in the video
G2P1: It
would link better if they played with the blue and red colour scheme onto the
digipack
G2P1: It
would have that link, with the red and blue, even if there was an edit on the
picture to have the slightest tone of red and blue on it.
G1P1: When
looking at the front cover it reminds me of Ed Sheeran, who is a pop artist so
it can make people think of pop music and move to the pop genre or have the
band be believed to be a more pop album than an indie album.
G1P3: And
that could lead to backlash if it’s misleading.
Advert
Narrator: Finally, here
is the advert for the digipack. In what ways does the advert follow the
conventions?
G1P1: It has
all the correct details to showcase, the release date, Album name and their
social media access, if people find them interesting they can find out more
about them.
G1P2: Yeah,
another key thing they added was the picture, which was used in the digipack so
it gives it that connection, and that they belong together as a package.
G1P1: Yeah
it all works out for the two products, it’s struggling to find a strong link
for the music video.
G1P3: I
agree it would make the three media products a completely sold package for the
target audience.
G3P1: Having
the reviews off their respected magazines that fit their genre having ‘NME’ and
then the all genre music magazine helps.
G3P3:
Specially to let people know it’s worth the purchase when they buy it.
G3P2: When
indie they tend to have a smaller audience to market to, so with the reviews it
helps widen the target audience and make more sales.
G3P1: They
should recognise the font from the advert to buy the album since they’re the
same, and it helps create branding for the band.
Narrator: How are the
conventions been developed in this advert?
G2P1: With
the image of the band is smaller we can show it fits in the indie genre as it
shows they’re more focused on their creation than the actual band themselves
G2P2: Also
helps the album and band advertise themselves then having the attention on the
band, so it helps the product of the music video.
G2P1: It
worked for Lorde with her debut album ‘Pure Heroin’ as her advert had a similar
layout. And that worked well for Lorde.
Narrator: Are there any
challenges of the code and conventions for the advert?
G1P3: That
they didn’t have the album cover on the advert, like most adverts do but they don’t
but with the matching fonts it will be okay for the band.
G1P2: With
the use of the matching font and the band shot it is still distinct form other
albums to find it when buying it in shops, as you can easily use technology to
find the album.
G1P1: With
the use of Spotify and Apple music it makes it more accessible for the target
market.
G1P2: So
they won’t be worried advertising the front cover of the album, along with the
use of social media you can find out what the front cover by following them
online.
Filming question four
We ran out of time for filming most of question four but me, Cora and Jaclyn have been working very hard to film everything for this question today. Because we ran out of time, we will film the rest of it tomorrow in our frees.
The message that we want to get across in our Evaluation
Throughout the entirety of this project, we have collected continuous feedback from our target audience, and tried to maintain a vibe that we think would appeal to our demographic. This is something that we want to make clear in our evaluation- how involved our audience was in the creation of our music video, digipak and advert.
Despite this involvement, which is something we are quite proud of, we know that our music video could've been better. We had a lot of problems with our band, with our actors dropping out numerous times, and not being able to get full band photos because our drummer couldn't make it. Another issue was performance filming, we believe that it could've been a lot better than it was, and for obvious reasons, this is something that we want to expand on in our evaluation.
Place to film question four
We have found a place to film for today. We will be filming in the gym unless there is a club going on at lunch. If this is the case, we will be filming in a classroom. For the rest of filming, we will be filming in different places for example:
-To film to computer stuff we will be in the media classroom.
-For Facebook group chats and other social media, we will be in any room and possibly show a screen recording as well.
-For anything else, we will take it how it is.
So far everything is going to plan and no one has dropped out last minute.

Question 2 - Script
SCRIPT for Question 3 so far
SCRIPT
Host: Hello, and welcome to 'Media Fortunes'. Today, we are joined by (lists contestants names). Now, the aim of the game is simple- a piece of footage or a photograph of the digipak or advert will show up on the screen, and your job is to guess the most popular thing the target audience said in response to it, the more popular the answer was the more points you will get.
[Interval]
Host: Now, the first thing to analyse is the rough cut.
[Sections of rough cut play]
Host: What do you think was the most popular response?
[buzzer sounds]
Contestant One: To change the band. The band that are in this video look out of place, and do not match the genre.
Host: Right. What was the percentage, of the people that we asked, that agree with you? Our survey says...
[90% lights up on screen]
Host: A solid score, that's 90 points for your team, excellent work. Who's next?
[buzzer sounds]
Contestant 2: Didn't understand the narrative.
Host: This is obviously important for many reasons. Our survey says...
[80%]
Host: A good score. What do you think they could have done to improve this issue?
Contestant 2: They really need to make it more clear. I had no idea what was happening with the relationship of the two people in the narrative, and I think it would be better if they had shown the couple's relationship developing more- I had no empathy for them at all, and a connection hadn't been formed between the actors and the audience.

Places to film for Thursday
We were thinking of filming in the media room for tomorrow however, someone else is already filming there tomorrow so we need to think of somewhere else to film. We have limited options for filming for the vlogging side however we do have some options such as:
-The media classroom
-Any other classroom
-A near by friend's house
They are our options.

preparation for question four filming
I have been planning everything that we need to film for question four tomorrow. We will take this to filming tomorrow so we know exactly what we need to film. We are giving a lot of examples so will film those separate. The main part we need to film is what our faves were for that month. This will make it easier so at least we will have that. Once we have filmed that, the rest will be easy.
Question four script
Today, i have been scripting for question four. we've decided to do a cringe "December Fave" video. we got this inspiration from beauty gurus who post these videos all the time. We are going to try to do it like a parody as we think it would work better. We have our friend Ellie doing this for us as she takes drama so would know how to act and be cringe. We are planning on filming this on Thursday through lunch and period 4 so we can get as much done as possible. Hopefully all of it. We are going to fill it with examples of Ellie using the soft wear as examples and someone using them. So far, the idea is working but we need to plan a little bit more just so we know exactly what we're doing.
Building on our ideas
For my question, which is 'What have you learned from your audience feedback?', I was thinking we could plan a 'Family Fortunes' style set up, with a host asking the 'contestants' about what they think the most popular answers to our surveys were, and then what we did to change them. It would end with the host asking what they think of our music video.
This would work for our evaluation as the viewers could see what our target audience thought about our product all the way through the project, and how we reacted to this and changed it accordingly.
The main issue that I have with planning this, is how we will display the answers. On the actual game show, they are shown on a large screen behind the host. However, I do not have the means or the skills to do this, so I will have to come up with a creative way of showing the answers. I think that what I will have to do is print the answers on a sheet of paper and stick another, blank, piece of paper on top of it, and the host will peel it off to reveal the answers.
Over the next few days, I will develop this idea more, and change it so it matches the purpose of the question more efficiently.

Question 2 idea
Question 2: How effective is the combination of you main product (video) and ancillary text (Digipak)?

I've had a thought about what i would like to do for this question and i was thinking about a few cooking shows that i have watched in my life time, you can see this in our previous blog. However, Jamie's 30 minute meals is the show that i will be replicating. I will be changing the name to 'Jaclyn's 3 minute meals' and will be talking about the combination of the video and the digipak, and saying how it's effective, just like how Jamie talks about his food and how it tastes great.
So, in order for me to know what i am saying, i would have to watch the show over and see what kinds of things he says. just so that i can get an idea of what i will be able to say. However, i have already done this, and i have recognised a few of the shot types that he uses whilst filming it. They are very quick paced shots that go from one to another in a matter of seconds, at least 4-5 second shots, either of him talking whilst making the food, or just really quick shots of him putting the food together. This is what i plan to do with this question, having quick paced shots, jus throwing the items together to be able to create our main product and ancillary text.
I have analysed Jamie's 30 minute meals and have written down what he says at the introduction just so i have a rough idea of what i can say.
'Time saving tricks and multi-tasking to the max. You can create magic in the kitchen. We're talking big flavors, fast. And these are great meals without the guilt. Balanced, tasty and good for you. Healthy food that you can eat everyday. It's delicious, nutritious super fast food. Today making Moroccan meatballs in super tasty wraps'
This is one of the intros to his show and i think i might take inspiration from it and take a few of the lines and make them my own, by adding words relating to Media, and how they linked in with our project
The main focus behind this is that i am going to be throwing 'ingredients' together to create something tasty, which in reality is actually our video and Digipak. So by talking about the colors, fonts, editing techniques, camera work we used, then by throwing it all together using premiere pro, making it look as though i actually am throwing things together, it should hopefully all come together nicely and seem as though i am on a cooking show.

Question 1 planning
My question is ‘In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?’.
I planned on doing my question in a big brother style, having the ‘house mates’ discuss the topics with different twists such as challenge in a big brother challenge style.
And I’m currently writing out points of for use, develop and challenge, on the music video, digipak and advert and highlighting key points that will work out. Then select people such as someone who was in the video such as Chris or Ellie who played in the narrative.
Or someone who was there when designing the front cover as an example to talk about it with the point of intention to bring out the points of use, develop and challenge.

Question 2 creative ideas
Me, Cora and Sarah have had some ideas about my question and feel that some kind of cooking show works well with in it. We came up with a spin off of what the idea could be called in the brackets, making it seem as though we've come up with the idea ourselves.
I like the idea of Jamie's 30 minute meals, and change it to Jaclyn's 3 minute meals as it's only going to be a short video, which will answer my question in the style of the show.

Question 3 Ideas!!
I had the idea of taking inspiration from Family Fortunes, and using our demographic's answer in a percentage form, with my 'contestants' being asked what is wrong with each product, or what they like about it.
The more popular the answer they give is, the more points they will get.
I'm really happy with this idea, and I feel that, with enough planning, it could work really well.
All we need now is people who would be in it.

Creative ideas for questions
Me Cora and Jaclyn have been looking for TV game shows to base our evaluation. We have thought of some ideas for this for me and Jaclyn. Cora's question was a bit hard to think of right now but Cora is going home tonight and watching some TV game shows as that is what we're basing our ideas on.
For my question (question 4) we though of me doing a cringe "December favs" video like the ones on YouTube. This will make it easier for me to talk about what we used and how they were so good. For Jaclyn, we thought of having Great British Bake Off as we can put in different components and make one final product with it. We are still deciding on what Cora is doing and don't know what David is doing yet.

Finished front cover
We finished the front cover of the digipak now and only have one small part to finish for the digipak. We have put the see-saw silhouette on the front as the Freaudean theory suggests to have a good superego, you need a balance of both the id and the ego so we have a balanced see-saw as our logo. We chose the font forte to put on the CD for Superego and Chroma and another font for deluxe edition. We kept the same background but removed some of the lines as it looked too cluttered. The front of the digipak looks good now and everything is almost complete for the deadline at 4:30.
Question four preparation
I have done a mind map of everything i am planning on including in my question for the evaluation. I have question four and it is all about editing and new technologies so i need to include a lot of new technologies. I will include the likes of Facebook, group chats, survey monkey and premier for example. I am not sure on how to make this more exciting and creative so far and need to think of ways to do that first but so far my plan is just to make a simple video.
Evaluation lesson
Today we had a lesson on evaluation for our media coursework. There are four questions and its worth 20% of our mark. This is the last piece of our coursework left to do now so need to make it good. We have assigned each person with a question. David is doing question one: What ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forma and conventions of real media products? This is the biggest question and is worth the most marks. Jaclyn is doing question two: How effective is the combination of your main product (video) and ancillary text (digipak)? Cora is doing question three: What have your learned from your audience feedback? and i'm doing question four: How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
We are doing a video and are planning for the first question to take about 8 minutes and the other questions to be about 4 minutes each as we are only doing a 20 minute video. They will be four small videos and will be condense and fast paced. Our deadline for this is the 20th so we have just over 1 week to do this.

Finished digipak
We have finished our digipak now and only have one more part of the coursework left to do. Our digipak has 5 panels. The front cover has a see-saw silhouette on the front. This represents balance as the superego in Freduean theory suggests to get a good superego you need a balance of both the ego and id. We tried to keep the front somewhat simple and put dripping crayons as the background as our album is called chroma and therefore we thought to incorporate some colour. We chose the font forte and added some lines above superego.
The front cover is quite plain and simple following the convention of most indie digipaks but it does have some colour there subverting the normal conventions.
The back is also dripping crayon but more bright. We put a bar code on and some trademark issues that you'd find on most backs of digipaks. We have the bonus songs and deluxe edition songs on there as well including the knee socks music video.
The inside left is very basic and is in black and white to go against the chroma idea but it works and looks good. It is very plain and minimalist like indie digipaks are and is based on Alex Turner in the AM advert for Arctic Monkeys as it only shows Alex Turner on the advert so we just put our lead singer singing on the front as if they were performing.
The CD is very colourful and has almost a rainbow on the front of it. This is very good for the chroma theme. It also had crayon melting on the back of it but is quite hard to see.
The strip down the side of the digipak is very basic and is just pastel pink with superego and chroma on it.
Overall, we are happy with the digipak produced and think it looks good. We have used lost of conventions that indie digipaks do and have subverted them as well and the final product looks good.

Finished middle panel
This was the final thing left to do and was one of the simplest to do. We just made it pastel pink and put the band name: superego and the album name: chroma on it and added lines on the sides and it's finished. Now everything is finished for the digipak and we just need to export it all.
Finished back
We have have finished the back of the digipak. We listened to our feedback and changed the photo on the back. We made it more colourful like the rest of the digipak by changing the photo. We then added our songs but made sure we had bonus tracks and the deluxe features on it as well. We then created the bar code and added the legal stuff on the bottom. Overall, we are happy with the back and think it fits well with the rest of it. We now only have the front cover the finish as well as the middle panel.
Final adjustments
We made quite a big final change to our advert before the deadline. We got some audience feedback about our advert and made some changes. For example, we reduced the size of the photo and put it in the middle and just had a plain background on the back. We reduced the size of the social media and made it about half the size and then changed the Superego title. Overall, it looks better and we're happy with it now to be exported.
Actual Advert
We did some major last minute changes to our advert. The photo wasn't working and we got some last minute audience feedback. We decided to change the photo to make it smaller and make the photo just in the middle. We linked the pastel pink to the colour on the spine and the rest stayed almost the same. Overall, I like this advert and think it looks good.
Finished advert
We finished our advert, we thought we finished it before but needed to add some reviews on it from some music companies (Q and NME). We are happy with the finial product now so we have now finished.
Our advert photo
For our advert, we haven't got the best photo we could have but we had a lot of issues as we couldn't get our drummer to come back as she refused to come back for the photos. We had to take a photo of our lead singer and just put that on the front with people partying around as if it was at a consent. We chose to put it in black and white as it would go with the title chroma which is effective.
Finished advert
We have finished our advert now and have called the album name chroma and made a conscious effort to make the advert black and white except for the advertising which is in colour. We did have superego in multi-coloured but didn't like it in the end so changed it to the same font that everything else was in. We have finished our advert now and just need to finish the digipak. Overall, we are quite happy with the advert.
Creating a Bar Code

To make this barcode, it started off with a basic box, 100px by 1px. I then filled it black using the paint bucket tool. Then going into filter at the tool bar at the top of the page, going into noise and then add noise.
After this, i clicked onto the 'monochrome' bar then 'Gaussian' and then changed the number to 75. This was just so that it was black and white, just like any barcode is.
Then finally clicking okay, and then stretching the box so that it was more of a rectangle shape, it revealed our barcode.

Finished inside left
This was one of the more simple panels to do. For this all we did was put in a black and white photo of our lead singer performing. We have a similar photo on our advert to help link them and bring them all together.
Finished CD
CD photos
Cora took some photos last night for our CD on the digipak. They are photos of CDs but the lighting makes them more rainbow. This will look good on our digipak as it already has a lot of colour on it as it just adds to it to make it even better. It is a bit last minute for changes but the deadline isn't until tomorrow so we have lost of time to change things if necessary.
Stress
We are a bit stressed about the digipak at the moment as it isn't going to plan like we expected and isn't looking the way we first imagined it to look. We have a lot of changes to make it not a lot of time but we should be able to do it in the time.
Front and Back
David has been doing the front and back of the digipak. We are happy with the front of the digipak for now but we are unsure of the back of the CD as it doesn't follow the theme of our digipak and doesn't flow like the rest. We may change the image for the deadline tomorrow but for now all we need is to get things on the digipak such as the song titles.
progression with the advert
We came up with a name for our album now so have almost finished the advert. All that is left to do is add the photo and it will be finished for the deadline tomorrow.

Results from audience feedback
These are the results we got back from our feedback. We just asked them three questions about the digipak and this is how they answered. Since then, we are planning on changing the photo on the CD of and changing the photo on the back of the digipak as they got the worst responses. We may change some more before the deadline but that is what we are changing for now.
Audience feed back for the digipak
We asked our audience about what the thought of our digipak so far. This is what we showed our audience and asked them to feedback what they said. We asked them what they thought of the CD (top photo) and the front and back (bottom photo). They gave mixed reviews about the CD and were more direct about the front and back of the digipak. They said the CD was a bit too busy and that they didn't like the back of the digipak. Since then, we have made some changed to the digipak and have redesigned it.

CD
We potentially have a CD now but we are re thinking it as David thinks it looks too busy so we are changing the image on the CD to something more subtle so we are re thinking but also keeping the same theme going.
