The clock will start off being an intact piece of mise-en-scene, and as the narrative progresses and the relationship between the two characters worsen, the clock's condition will deteriorate, and become more damaged.
Sarah and I took the clock back to my house, and hung it up on a wall. We would take a piece of footage (normally about 3-6 seconds long) of the clock at each 3 hour interval, and between takes we would take the clock outside and smash it with a hammer.
It took,in total, about half an hour to finish- we used one of the cameras the school provided us with, a tripod and two LED s. The LED s were really important as they made the cracks in the clock look clearer and the contrast between the damaged parts of the clock and the intact parts of the clock more prominent.
