For our narrative, we wanted Chris, our main actor, to dress quite smartly yet casual at the same time. We feel as though this makes the protagonist come off as a strong and powerful character as stereotypically, that kind of clothing is classed as that.
We decided to use some black jeans with a striped shirt covered by a winter jacket, as this is usually what the working class would usually wear, as it's what we wanted for our male actor.
However, for other parts of our video that Chris appears in, we decided to change the costume, to show that it's a new day, but also to show that he has many different styles, showing the different kind of personalities that the protagonist has, therefore representing the characters relationship as it takes a turn for the worst.
For the next costume, we chose something a lot more casual and laid back, foreshadowing that the relationship is quite rocky and unstable. So we decided to keep the same jeans but made Chris wear a plain white t-shirt with a jacket on top. The white top showing the main actors innocence and purity, proving that he's not the bad person in the music video.
