Work in lessons

Today in our lesson, we compared two videos: Taylor Swift's Look What you Made me do and compared this to Dua Lipa's new song: New Rules.  What we found was that Taylor's song had many scenarios with many costume changes however, she only seams to wear reds, blacks, golds and orange while doing her costume changes.  The video has slow motion in it and graphic matches like when she's in a coffin and then a bath.  The song was matched to the music through lighting and colour as well as pace and tempo.  the dance routine in Taylor's song was precise and done to perfection without and flaws.  Dua Lipa's video was quite different to this and had lots of long takes instead of many short takes.  It included some pop culture references such as the Disney princesses when lined up and walking on water.  The major difference between these videos was the dance routine.  Dua's routine wasn't perfect and did show some flaws in it, it wasn't timed to perfection and some people weren't on time.  It can look messy at first but once looking at it again you realise this is meant to be and shows that they aren't supposed to be perfect and timed to perfection unlike Taylor.
