Storyboards for Performance
For the last few lessons, we have been working on creating our music video's storyboard.
This process has been helpful because we could clearly see the direction our video was going in, the shots we were going to use, and how the narrative was going to evolve.
The video will be split into two sections (the ratio should be around 50/50), performance- showing our band playing the song, and narrative- showing a story or concept that we have linked to the lyrics.
Cora and Sarah created the performance storyboards. They used their knowledge of camerawork from the TV drama module in year 12, and have used a variety of shots, angles, compositions and movements throughout the storyboard, and this will be something we want to recreate in our live-action video. They set the performance out so that each member of the band will have time on screen, by using one-shots, two-shots and master shots.
